Another weekend of Premier League action is nearly upon us and there are a couple of tasty looking games for us to get stuck into.
We pick out some of the key games and highlight our top three Fantasy Football Captain picks for the weekend.
Man Utd vs Liverpool (Sat 12:30pm)
The standout game of the weekend is one of the most famous fixtures in world football where Manchester United play host to Liverpool in a match that could get us closer to knowing who will finish as runners up to Man City this season.
With Mo Salah in excellent form and Liverpool firing on all cylinders at the moment it could be a difficult afternoon for Man Utd fans.
Their home advantage may be enough to help them withstand the Liverpool attack but I am expecting Liverpool to take the game to United and cause them a lot of problems. With some key players like Sanchez in poor form, it really is a game that they need to turn up for if United will take anything from this fixture.
Newcastle United vs Southampton (Sat 3pm)
At the other end of the table the standout game appears to be Newcastle United vs Southampton. Both teams are struggling for wins and the team that comes out on the wrong end of this one could find themselves in a difficult relegation battle.
Southampton have drawn 13 games this season, the most of any Premier League side and they really need to start turning those into wins in the run-in if they are to avoid the drop.
I expect this to be a close and edgy game with few goals. The single goal for either side could be enough to win it but don’t rule out a bore 0-0 draw which suits neither team.
Stoke City vs Manchester City (Mon 8pm)
It is very difficult to look any further than an away win in this one.
Stoke have shipped the joint most goals in the Premier League this season (54 w/ West Ham) and come up against a team that have already scored 83 league goals this season.
It could be a very long night for Stoke fans who could find themselves three points from safety before they even get to kick a ball this weekend and with such a poor goal difference it will feel more like 4 points.
Expecting plenty of goals in this one as Man City look to put themselves within touching distance of the Premier League title.
Elsewhere in the Premier League this weekend we have the following games:
Everton vs Brighton (Sat 3pm)
Huddersfield vs Swansea (Sat 3pm)
West Brom vs Leicester City (Sat 3pm)
West Ham vs Burnley (Sat 3pm)
Chelsea vs Crystal Palace (Sat 5:30pm)
Arsenal vs Watford (Sun 1:30pm)
Bournemouth vs Spurs (Sun 4pm)
Fantasy Football Captain Picks
We have selected the following three players as our top 3 picks for your Fantasy Football captain for Gameweek 30:
- Sergio Aguero (Man City are expected to score a hat-full of goals on Monday night and when their are Man City goals you will usually see Aguero, he gets our top pick spot.)
- Riyad Mahrez (After his free-kick goal last week he may well have his scoring boots back and where better to be playing that against West Brom. Fancy him for a goal or two this weekend.)
- David Silva (Much for the same reason as Sergio, however at a much more affordable price.)
Enjoy your Premier League weekends and feel free to share your Fantasy Football tips in the comments below.
