More news coming out of Italy tonight indicates the 30 year-old Portugal winger Nani is currently making his way to Rome to complete a loan move from Valencia.
The winger is set to join on a season long loan deal with a clause to make the deal permanent next summer for a fee of £6.5m.
Nani joined Valencia last summer for a fee of £8.5m from Turkish side Valencia but as injury worries mount and the club believe this is their last chance to offload the player for close to the price they paid for him.
Nani is currently suffering from a knee injury that could cause an issue in his medical on Thursday morning but as this is a known injury it is thought that Lazio are willing to take the risk and complete the signing in the hope that they can once again get the best out of Nani who could still have 2-3 years at his best before his age starts to become a player.
The player is also keen to ensure he gets plenty of game time this season to allow him to secure a place in the Portugal squad.
The transfer deadline in Italy closes at 9pm GMT so we expect this one to be announced earlier than other transfers on Thursday as the clubs look to get the deal completed in time.
