Reports out of Spain this morning suggest that Manchester United midfielder Andrea Pereira is closing in on a loan move to La Liga side Valencia.
Pereira spent last season on loan in Spain with Grenada but was unable to prevent them from being relegated. Despite the club’s poor fortunes Pereira shone for the team and was involved in 8 goals, scoring 5 and assisting 3.
The player travelled with United for their pre-season tour but has not even made the bench in the clubs Premier League fixtures to-date which could explain why the player is keen to leave on loan to get first team experience this season.
With United boasting some big name midfielders his playing time at United would appear to look very limited this season and at the age of 21 he will be keen to get as much game time as possible to allow him to develop further. He will also be wary that he only has one-year left on his contract at United and this could provide him with an excellent opportunity to put himself in the shop window for next summer.
It would appear that the deal should be completed in the next 2-3 days.
