In the last hour Huddersfield have announced the season-long loan of Ingolstadt defender Florent Hadergjonaj.
The 23-year old Switzerland International right-back has featured twice for Ingolstadt this season and the loan deal comes with an option for Huddersfield to make the deal permanent next summer.
The defender only joined Ingolstadt a year ago for a fee around £1.8m and has featured in 27 games so far, he joined the German club from Young Boys where he played 88 games, scoring once and providing 9 assists.
Huddersfield boss David Wagner told his club’s official website:
“It was important in this window that we found a real competitor for the right-back position and in Florent we have exactly the right player.”
Huddersfield have started their Premier League campaign well and that may help them to attract more talented players to the club who may have been wary of a long and difficult season at the bottom of the table ahead of the season.
Their recruits to date have looked strong which reflects well on manager David Wagner who is currently seeing his reputation rise rapid and will no doubt be linked to higher profile roles as they become available this season.
