Harry Kane has been the talk of the footballing world this week after his hat-trick against Southampton sent long-standing records tumbling and further fuelled the debate around who is the best striker in the world right now.
With fantasy football manager around the world loading him into their squads over the past week it seems that his appearance against Swansea on Tuesday is now in doubt due to illness, which has now been confirmed by the club on Twitter.
This is welcome news for Swansea City fans who will be fearing the worst if Kane is passed fit as they look to get themselves out of trouble with their new manager.
Kane has notched up 24 goals in 24 games in all competitions so far this season and is in red-hot form. With the number of fixtures at this time of year rotation is always in the mind of managers and this may give Pochettino the perfect excuse to give Kane a rest and play Llorente against his formed club allowing Kane a few extra days rest head of the clash with West Ham.
The manager may have wanted to rest Kane already but with him so close to the record the player would surely have been begging to play the past two games to land that record and now that it’s in the bank a few days rest will likely follow.
It is certainly one to follow closely over the coming days if you are a fantasy football manager or Swansea City fan!
Spurs fans, do you think Kane will be rested against Swansea? Swansea fans, what is worse, facing Kane or Llorente?
