A player who appears to be flying under the radar somewhat in this transfer window is Liverpool striker Danny Ings.
The player is now back from injury and ready to kick-start his career following a long time out with a knee injury but managed 90 minutes for Liverpool U23’s last Friday night with a scout from Newcastle United playing close attention to the players recover.
It’s our understanding that Newcastle United have tonight submitted a season-long loan offer for the striker in the hopes of offering him first-team football this season that would allow him to get his career back on track.
There’s also interest from Championship club Leeds United but the player would prefer to play in the Premier League this season, however should a deal not materialise he would consider a loan to Leeds United until January to put himself back on the footballing radar with the hopes of making a Premier League squad for the second half of the season.
He’s a player who undoubtedly had the quality to play at Premier League level before his injury and now needs a club to take a chance on him before the window shuts on Thursday night.
There are many other clubs monitoring the situation of Ings but his most likely destination with 24 hours left in the transfer window is Newcastle.
Would you welcome Danny Ings to your club? Where do you think he will be playing his football this season?
